“Dawna was the perfect photographer for our wedding! Neither of us had been professionally photographed before, but Dawna’s cheerful personality and professional demeanor put us at ease immediately. She took the time to get to know us through the engagement shoot and by the end of it we both knew Dawna was going to knock it out of the park. When the big day came, she more than delivered! We got all the formal and family photos out of the way early and Dawna and her secondary photographer were able to wrangle and direct our quite lively wedding party to get the shots we wanted. During our ceremony and reception, Dawna and her assistant beautifully captured our special moments and were a delight to work with. When we got the pictures back, we could not have been happier with the results! We have some absolutely incredible pictures that we cherish thanks to her sharp skills, eye for detail, and true talent.

Dawna was wonderful - she has a great eye and took absolutely stunning pictures! She was extremely friendly and had lots of ideas for scenic locations for our photos downtown. She was very accommodating and even showed up to the correct courthouse despite our giving her the wrong address! We are so lucky we found Dawna! We were interested in candid wedding photos, capturing the event as it happened, and we noticed from her portfolio that Dawna could definitely do that. But what set her apart for us was the warmth and joy present in so many of the pictures on her website-- she is great at capturing folks at their best without everything looking posed. When we reached out to her, we were pleased to see that she was also joyful in person! She responded quickly (less than a day I think!) and over the phone she immediately put us at ease and made us excited to share our vision for our wedding photos. She clearly knew her stuff and asked all the right questions about what types of photos we wanted and day-of logistics, and we felt very comfortable trusting her with this crucial component of the wedding.
On the day Dawna and her assistant were very efficient at getting the photos we needed (i.e. the long list of planned family shots and the inevitable spontaneous and chaotic ones as well) while keeping everyone in good spirits. They also were able to go around and get shots of the friends and family having a blast. We were also glad we booked her for a little extra time for our off-site wedding afterparty, so that we had mementos from the whole day. When we got all the photos back we were so happy with the moments that Dawna captured, and we keep coming back to these photos again and again. She has our appreciation and strong recommendation!

We are so glad we picked Dawna! We were initially drawn to the warmth and joy in the photos on her website -- the people didn't just looked posed, they looked like they were having a great time. She was very friendly and easygoing and the extent of her experience was clear. It was easy for us to trust her with this important job. On the big day Dawna and her assistant got all the necessary photos done well and efficiently, and they captured all the big moments from our wedding, as well as some that we missed in all the fun. We were so glad to see the same energy and spirit in our wedding photos which made us choose Dawna in the first place. We appreciated that she was also able to come with us to an off-site after party to get some photos of us with our friends having way too much fun at karaoke -- we will treasure having mementos from that night as well as photos from the ceremony and reception. Overall Dawna was extremely easy to work with, accommodating with our ideas for the photography, and has serious skill with a camera.
