Hello world, I’m Dawna!

I know it’s so typical to say, but I LOVE traveling! In the last few years I’ve also learned that I love to plan trips almost as much! So far I’ve been to 40 of the 50 US states and 8 other countries!

Sewing! I grew up sewing with my mom but in the last few years I’ve gotten into it again and have made plenty of dresses (with matching face masks), skirts, shirts, some jumpsuits & even a couple faux fur jackets!

I absolutely LOVE shooting film, and typically prefer only bringing my film camera with me while traveling!

Beyonce is my idol, role model and biggest inspiration! I’ve loved her since her Destiny’s Child days, and even have a tattoo of her on my arm!

I realized that I had a passion for photography when I was 14, after a family trip to Alaska, and have been pursuing it ever since!

I photographed my first wedding at 18 for my cousin Dani, which also happened to be in Alaska!

My first ‘real job’ out of college was working at the Amazon photo studios. I learned a lot while working there, but mostly that I’m happiest when photographing people, not products

Watermelon! It’s my absolute favorite, with pizza taking the second spot! I’ve also been vegetarian since I was 12!

Though sewing is #1, I have so many others that I enjoy! I do a lot of embroidery, I learned from my grandma! Being from the PNW I also really enjoy camping, hiking, kayaking, and swimming!
